We all need help from time to time. Consider making a donation to either The Purrpose, or any of the organizations below to help them continue serving our community and helping cats (and people, in the process)! Whether it's a one-time, or reoccurring donation, every dollar counts!
Become a citizen trapper! Many of the resources below will allow you to check-out a small animal live trap for a period of time with a refundable deposit (or you can donate the deposit to the organization) to help you humanely trap, alter, vaccinate and microchip a community cat. Please note that each organization may have different requirements and guidelines - be sure to ask questions!

Income qualified, affordable spay or neuter for your pet. If you receive any government assistance, (Medicare, Medicaid, EBT, etc.) then you qualify!
Here at Capital Humane Society we're happy to offer spay/neuter services for free-roaming community cats, who live outdoors, and often receive food and shelter from one or more dedicated caretakers in our community. Free-roaming cats can also include owned semi-feral to feral outdoor or indoor/outdoor cats that reside on a farm or acreage in the country.

We all need a paw once in a while. If you're in need of financial assistance to spay/neuter or have an emergency situation, many times non-profits can help. However, funding is fully based on donations and may not always be available. The list below is provided as a place to start when seeking help.
Among other services, such as spay/neuter assistance, Lincoln Animal Ambassadors operates a pet food bank to provide temporary assistance to people for their pets. Research shows that one of the most frequent reasons animals are surrendered to shelters and rescues is that owners are unable to afford food. In many cases, this is due to a short term event. Cause for Paws, a non-profit boutique help support Local & Nebraska Animal Charities & Rescue Organizations, helps low income persons and families with vet bills and have an Emergency Pet Food Bank for people and families in need. https://www.causeforpawslincoln.org/
