Helping our Farmers & Acreage Owners

The unsung heroes of working farms & acreages - cats are a vital resource for rural areas.  They do the work that no one has time for - but, they still make time to reproduce.  This leads to overpopulation, illness, disease and increased nuisance behaviors.

We are here to change that.

Veterinary Care

Every cat is spayed/neutered, vaccinated for rabies & distemper, receives flea/tick/ear mite treatment, microchip insertion and a left ear-tip.

Trapping & Transportation

Regardless of your experience or knowledge of trapping, we're here to help.  We will physically show up to assess, evaluate, plan and determine how we can best help your situation.

Real Results

Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) and spay/neuter is the ONLY solution to feline overpopulation & inbreeding complications.  Scientifically proven, improved health is seen within weeks, and colony sizes become stable.

Barn Cat Program

Let us help!

Our goals, in partnership with Lincoln Animal Ambassadors, is to help farmers and acreage owners see barn/outside cats as valued working animals.  Farmers, acreage owners, and anyone caring for an established outdoor cat colony in Lancaster County and surrounding counties can get their cats spayed/neutered at NO cost.

What's included:

  • Neuter or spay
  • Rabies and distemper vaccinations
  • Flea/tick treatment
  • Exam and treatment of wounds, injuries or other health issues (where appropriate)
  • Microchip insertion & registration
  • Left ear tip (identifies the cat has been altered)
  • Assistance with trapping & transport, and/or coordination of vet visits

Why bother?

  • Stops reproduction and overpopulation
  • Decreases parasite transmission between cats, livestock and other animals on the property
  • Reduces rabies transmission (from bats and raccoons) among livestock
  • Stabilizes the cat population by keeping new cats from entering an established territory
  • Reduces disease, fighting and spraying
  • Healthier cats are better mousers
  • Cuts supplemental food needs by ~25%
  • Reduces roaming
