Lucky Lou, born April 2019 suffered from Fading Kitten Syndrome, Toxoplasmosis, idiopathic epilepsy and eventually was diagnosed with FIP. FIP is NOT a death sentence anymore! We were blessed to find a benefactor to help us with meds, and now we want to pay it forward. Help us with your donations to save a FIP Furbaby!
In 2025, The Purrpose aims to microchip 5,000 (yes, that's 5 THOUSAND!) cats. Why? Lost Pet and Research and Recovery report that, on average in the United States, only 1.5% to 4.5% of cats are "RTO". In order to increase this percentage of "return to owner", microchips play a vital role in this return process.
Microchipping your pet can be expensive and difficult to navigate. The Purrpose is not dreaming about how many cats will make it to our dream Sanctuary, instead our dream is for pets to make it home to their families - instead of a strange place.
Be a part of this incredible effort to ensure the return of beloved family members quickly and correctly - in case they go on the prowl!
This is the dream - and we dream BIG. Dreaming of being the first dedicated cat sanctuary in Nebraska, the Purrfect Place will take planning and investment. Hoping for 20+ acres we dream of a place that is a safe place for cats that would otherwise be handed a death sentence. A barn cat program, neonatal center, ringworm and contagion quarantine, education & reception center and so much more! Follow our journey as we dig into planning!
